Potassium dihydrogen phosphate crystals are widely used in electro-optic Q-switches (Nd:YAG, Nd:Y, Ti:sapphire, emerald as the source of lasers), and Pockels cells. DKDP crystals, which are deuterated more than 9%, are the most commonly used electro-optic crystals. This crystal is grown by the hydro solution method and can be grown to a very large size; therefore, they are the suitable at this stage for manufacturing low-cost and large-size finished nonlinear elements for second harmonic generation (SHG) and third harmonic generation (THG). Nd:AG laser wavelength of 1064 nm, I-type and II-type phase matching can be used for the nonlinear crystals KDP and DKDP.
