KTA, namely Potassium Titanyl Arsenate (KTiOAsO4), is an excellent nonlinear optical crystal for optical parametric oscillation (O).
KTA is very reliable for OPO devices, and the energy conversion efficiency of tunable laser radiation from solid-state lasers can reach above 50. Moreover, KTA has a very high damage threshold. Compared with KTP, KTA crystals have larger nonlinear optical and electro-optic coefficients and have less absorption in the .0-4.0um band.
