LGS and LGSe are the newly developed infrared nonlinear materials with wurtzite-type structure, and its transmittance can reach to 032, 0.38 microns. LGS crystal has excellent piezoelectric properties, such as high electromechanical coupling coefficient than that of quartz, no change from room temperature to the melting point (about 1470 ℃), and so on. The device made by this crystal has been used in a lot of, such as medium frequency filter, high temperature sensor etc. Compared with quartz, the excellent acoustic surface wave performance of lanthanum gallium silicate crystal makes it have application prospects in this field.
